Cambridge Students - nothing changes

Post by DazLawrence » Tue Feb 13, 2018 6:58 pm

Somewhat by mistake, I moved to Cambridge, perhaps the least sensible place for me to live in the country - hence, I stayed. Endless entertainment is provided by our future Prime Ministers, showers of cock water so exquisitely self-obsessed they fail to recognise everyone has left the room in disgust. I could pick endless examples but here's a nice one.
Example of the worst people alive

It's not that I don't care it's just that...what was I talking about again?

Best Line in the Valentine's Hit Piece:
Valentine's Day, you turn me into a bitter Marxist.
Valentine's Day used to be a lot more important to me when I was younger. Now I just use it as a pretext for speaking to relatives I haven't had contact with for awhile.

The article brought up that Valentine's Day has it's origins with a Christian saint. I guess that's something else the west is shoving down the memory hole. Should we blame that on Capitalism as well?

Anyway, the Kama Sutra can easily take the place of St.Valentine.

UoooHHH....Kama Sutra...I'd go for a holiday for that!

But for Valentines day, I blame Chaucer.

'There is no evidence of any link between St. Valentine's Day and the rites of the ancient Roman festival Lupercalia, despite many claims by many authors. The celebration of Saint Valentine did not have any romantic connotations until Chaucer's poetry about "Valentines" in the 14th century. Popular modern sources claim links to unspecified Greco-Roman February holidays alleged to be devoted to fertility and love to St. Valentine's Day, but prior to Chaucer in the 14th century, there were no links between the saints named Valentinus and romantic love.'

Hi Aquina
adapto here
Valentine’s Day is at least memorable for the massacre that bears it’s name
